I think the tools I gained will make me a better colleague, and help me make my antiracist work deeper, more meaningful, and more consistent. The content, practice working through scenarios, and relationship building with folks all over the department will make a huge difference in each of our work, and I'd love to have more colleagues go through this cohort. I don't think we even need a majority of white staff to participate in order to radically transform the racial paradigm of the department. Having been invested in like this is really a gift, and makes me feel increased accountability to practicing antiracism at work and giving that care and energy back to the department.
